About me
Amy Klimosko is a Registered Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of clinical and leadership experience in mental health and addiction services. Her career began in direct client care, providing individual, family, and group therapy, conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, and developing evidence-based treatment plans for complex cases. Amy has supervised Master’s-level interns, led therapeutic programs, and pioneered specialized group interventions to meet diverse client needs.
Currently serving as Provincial Director for Youth Compassionate Intervention, Amy combines her clinical expertise with strategic leadership to enhance service delivery across Alberta. She is passionate about integrating clinical best practices into system-level planning, ensuring accessible, high-quality care for children, youth, and families. Amy’s commitment to evidence-based programming and quality improvement has resulted in reduced wait times, improved patient outcomes, and strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration. She is one of the early members of the team with the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre representing health and part of the development of the Sheldon Kennedy Centre of Excellence.
Holding advanced credentials in psychology and family therapy alongside an MBA, Amy brings a unique blend of clinical insight and organizational acumen to every initiative. She is a Certified Health Executive and a recognized leader in mental health and addiction service excellence and innovation.
