Christie Remfert is a Learning and Development Practice Specialist for the South-Central Region, bringing more than 14 years of dedicated experience to the organization. Throughout her career, Christie has served in several key roles—including Intervention Practitioner, Intervention Supervisor, and Practice Specialist—before expanding her portfolio over the past three years to lead Learning and Development initiatives across the region. In her current role, Christie supports a wide range of essential functions: collaborating with post‑secondary institutions on practicum placements, coordinating and facilitating onboarding for new staff, and delivering training to both frontline teams and leaders. Her work strengthens practice, builds confidence, and ensures staff are equipped with the knowledge and support they need to thrive. A long‑standing champion of Signs of Safety, Christie has been instrumental in advancing the framework across the province. From her early involvement in Collaborative Service Delivery to presenting at international Signs of Safety gatherings, she has consistently demonstrated leadership, clarity, and commitment. She has also played a key role in implementing workflow processes that help ensure consistent, high‑quality Signs of Safety practice throughout Alberta.
