About me
Dr. Joelle Johnson is a highly respected chiropractor with a deep passion for pre-conception, prenatal, postnatal, and pediatric chiropractic care. She is known throughout Central Alberta for her family-centred, evidence-informed approach and her commitment to supporting healthy pregnancies, thriving infants, and resilient families.
Dr. Joelle holds 2 bachelor of Science degrees and then followed with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at NorthWestern College of Chiropractic. She then followed up with a Diplomate and Board Certification (FICPA) from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and has completed extensive advanced training in pediatric and perinatal chiropractic care. She is certified in the Webster Technique and the Gardner System for Breech Presentation, and continues to expand her expertise through ongoing postgraduate education. She is currently pursuing more certifications in pediatric neurodevelopment, further enhancing her ability to support optimal nervous system development in infants and children.
Her lifelong commitment to learning regularly takes her across North America, training with leading experts in pediatric neurodevelopment, TOTS (tethered oral tissues and tongue ties), breastfeeding challenges, dynamic body balancing, and perinatal care. This multidisciplinary knowledge allows her to collaborate effectively with midwives, doulas, lactation consultants, and other healthcare providers.Certifications & Advanced Training

She is a passionate educator and speaker, regularly hosting workshops and courses — including her highly regarded Tummy Time Class for parents. A committed volunteer, she has served over 20 years with the Canadian Ski Patrol and frequently provides chiropractic care at community events.Dr. Joelle is also a strong advocate for midwifery and doula support, having organized International Day of the Midwife rallies and hosted community film screenings such as The Business of Being Born to promote informed, empowered birth choices.In recognition of her leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Joelle received the Entrepreneurship Trophy at the 2012 Women of Excellence Awards in Red Deer and was later honoured with the Ruby Award from the Soroptimists of Central Alberta.Above all, Dr. Joelle Johnson is dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve optimal health naturally, empowering them with knowledge, support, and compassionate care so they can live vibrant, fulfilling lives.
