About me
Janine Elenko is a Senior Research Associate at Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre and Kindex Research and Knowledge Centre of Canadian CYACs. She holds a Masters of Public Health and is in her first year of PhD studies at the University of Calgary in Community Health Sciences. With over eight years of experience in community-based research, Janine is passionate about undertaking studies that respond to pressing practice needs and mobilizing evidence for policy and practice change. Through her work at Luna and Kindex, Janine is focused on advancing evidence-informed, trauma-responsive, and multidisciplinary responses to child abuse. Janine leads and collaborates on a range of studies addressing trauma-informed criminal legal processes, problematic sexual behaviour, and outcomes of the CYAC model.
